LightPainting Lightbar for Universal Connector
thingiverse
This is a lightpainting tool designed to fit perfectly with Jason D. Page's universal connector, which can be found at https://lightpaintingbrushes.com/. The tool comes in two versions: one that features a brightness gradient along its length and another that produces a homogeneous light bar. To amplify the effect, users can cover the inside of the tool with tin foil before attaching the diffuser. Two different types of diffusers are included - one is designed to be printed with the correct shape, while the other is meant to be printed flat and then bent into its desired form after printing. Printing the pre-shaped diffuser will result in a superior performance. The example photos showcase the green tool made using the gradient tool and the blue tool created without a gradient. Due to differences between CAD programs and 3D printers, the models need to be rotated before printing. Cases are intended to be printed on the back side, as illustrated in the first photo. The flat diffuser is meant to be printed flat on the bed of the 3D printer.
