Lightening cord flex TPU cover

9/2023 You need to try the update https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6233702 The updated version is ALL TPU and securely holds the cable rap with a continuous tube. This is a TPU flex cord wrap for iphone cables… broken or not. The hard covers I have tried work great but the problem just keeps moving further down the cord. This wraps 65mm of cord with a flexible cover. It is held in place with a slip over cover of a PLA or PETG. **Can you Print it?** I print it with retraction. without it the narrow gap overlap will likely bond from the tpu ooze as it moves between sides. I also lowered my temperature to the lower side of TPU… about 230c. If it does not over bond much simply run a small screw driver down to make sure the opening seperates. **The wings.** I originally printed it w/o the overlap of the plug. It looked and fit great, but it became clear that it allowed the plug to bend without the cord freely following. I added some wings to even out the feel. **.4mm nozzle**. I did not want to have to do a nozzle change so I designed it to print with a .4mm nozzle, but the flaps show they are not happy as you loose some of the edges. **Do you glue it?** I generally don't glue mine. Partly because the glues I have tested from what I have laying around have not bonded well. I don't have a good TPU glue. The flaps can be glued together, but careful not to glue it to your cord, unless that is your desire. Three slip over covers to choose from. The only difference is the wall thickness.
