I'm on the hunt for an ambient light to illuminate my bedside table, but so far I've come up empty-handed. In a pinch, I've decided to take matters into my own hands - literally! - and design a light of my own. It's uncomplicated, far from flawless, but perhaps it'll do the trick for now. I'm really pleased with how mine turned out, and since then, I've even swapped out the LED candle for a 25-light, bargain-basement battery-operated string of LEDs - big improvement! The dimensions come in at 120 mm wide by 82 mm high x 75 mm deep.
