Lighted Glass Dome and Stand
thingiverse
An IKEA Hack and a Remix. Start with IKEA's Härliga Glass Dome, and print several things that you like, in this case squirrel pawns, which I use to test filament. I built up a lighted base, incorporating the printer in woodfil, the lens printed with natural PLA, and created the stands, all STL and 123D Design files here to reuse. Lights are LED types that can be found on eBay or Amazon, running on 12V DC. Printed on Prusa Original I3 MK2. Print Settings: Printer: Prusa Original i3 MK2 Rafts: No Matter Supports: None Resolution: 200 microns Infill: 20% Notes: 3 Perimeters and 20% infill on the base and stand 160 Perimeters and 0% infill on the lens, which makes it a continuous spiral two layers deep. Post-Printing: Build the Base Light sanding, and insert the LEDs; most people will do a better job on this than me.
