Lightcycle Model Kit
thingiverse
Twelve years ago, I designed a 3D file for an ancient PC game project called GL_Tron. Upon acquiring my Thing-O-Matic last summer, this model kit was one of the first projects that came to mind. After investing numerous hours in modifying the original design, it is finally completed! In response to requests, individual part files are now included. The illustrated instruction manual assists with assembly, and here are some pointers: no rafts or support were needed during printing; a support structure is integrated into the STL file for the front wheel's problematic area, which merely requires trimming after printing. This kit uses 3mm pins to align parts, but since I print with 3mm filament, I just cut short 6mm long sections. However, if you possess a Replicator or use 1.75mm filament, there's a file for printing pin set. The model's parts are categorized by color to mimic the movie Lightcycle design: gray for the frame and wheel hubs, black for windows and wheel covers, and another color like blue or red for wheels and body. However, feel free to deviate from these color guidelines.
With this file you will be able to print Lightcycle Model Kit with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Lightcycle Model Kit.
