I upgraded my China Co2 laser to run with LightBurn software. This upgrade allows me to use a USB camera to view the bed and scan items placed on it, similar to what I've seen in the Glow Forge laser. On the LightBurn site, they sell a camera, but I wanted to save some money, so I bought an 8MP Sony IMX179 USB camera from Ebay. My laser is large, so I went with an 80-degree camera lens that doesn't have any fish-eye distortion. This mount uses a GoPro mounting system to attach the camera to the open lid of my machine. It has a captured 1/4-20 nut inside to secure the GoPro mount. I purchased a GoPro tripod mount from Amazon. Parts Needed: 1. Camera Housing 2. Housing Lid 3. 1/4-20 Nut (not a locknut) 4. Four 2mm screws Once you install the nut in the housing, place some electrical tape over it so that it can't short out the camera on the bottom.
