Lightbulb Negative (boolean difference)
thingiverse
If you need a lightbulb holder for a barrel or any other object, look no further! I had to find a way to create a lightbulb holder that screws into a barrel without wires or power. I couldn't find a good solution online, so I created this blank model as a negative. To use it, simply take any solid object like a barrel and place the model where you want your bulb to go. Then, do a "boolean difference" in meshmixer. This will create the perfect fit for your lightbulb. The holder is designed for common bulbs, but I used an A19 as my reference point. Here's a helpful chart of bulb sizes if you're unsure what size you need: https://www.bulbs.com/images/resource_section/bulb-shapes-and-sizes.png If you have a high-end printer, you may want to scale the model down slightly. My cheap printer can only handle a 62 mm bulb, but an A19 only requires 60mm.
