Light weight-Without Ramp -Mechanical trailer- CATFISH
grabcad
This trailer, sans ramp, employs a manual lift system featuring a jack and telescopic universal joint, eliminating the need for hydraulic/pneumatic or electric setups. The design is fabricated and welded with 2 1/2" structural steel components and "C"-channels to support the catfish load. When in use, the car rests on its wheels with a clearance between chassis and frame. Lifting all four jacks at once is facilitated by two 90-degree gearboxes. With an overall height of 120mm when closed, the wheel assembly attaches to the frame only when lifted to a height of 475mm. This modular design allows for easy accommodation in small garages and enables opening/closing car doors when properly positioned on the frame. Images from stages 1-5 demonstrate the usage process, while the 3D model (trailer.asm) offers a visual representation. As a conceptual model, aesthetics were not emphasized, but feedback is appreciated.
