Light Up Sabre Tooth Case
thingiverse
I crafted this project entirely on my own using an outdated piece of software I acquired during my school days. Fingers crossed, it's all good (worked seamlessly with Cura 2.7). It relies on APA102 programmable LEDs powered by a PICAXE processor. I utilized a 52-LED strip, consisting of 26 LEDs in the base and 26 in the top. I'm aware that the battery box and cover require some tweaks to make them print more smoothly. If you opt to use the light diffusers, you can theoretically print them in any color you prefer, but this will alter the LED colors. I chose white to avoid this issue altogether. Feel free to skip them if you wish. The slots for the glass were designed at 2mm wide, but my printer printed them slightly narrower than that. I used thin picture glass measuring approximately 1.7mm thick, sourced from affordable picture frames at a local store. This is my first upload since acquiring a 3D printer, and it's been a while since I've worked with CAD software, so I anticipate some changes will be needed. I'll strive to keep things updated as they evolve.
