Light-Up Cornhole Boards
prusaprinters
Parts and jigs for building a set of smart LED-lit cornhole boards. Parts for the board should be printed in weather-resistant filament, e.g. PETG. The jigs can be printed PLA, PETG as they won't be subjected to weather. The boards each use a piezo sensor to detect bag hitting the board and a pair of IR LEDs for detecting bag going into the hole and changing the effects in response to those events. The controller firmware is running on an ESP8266 and the boards are powered by a single 10KmAh USB power supply.Parts:Electronics case (bottom and top)IR LED sensor mounts for the hole (IR TX + IR RX)Cap to protect the Piezo sensorBattery clips (2 per board)Battery retainerWire clips (2 per board)USB cable clip to prevent the USB power cord from dangling when not plugged inFront foot bumpers (optional - to prevent bouncing on hard surface - print in flex material)Back foot bumpers (print in flex material)Jigs:Hole epoxy dam (also doubles as paint mask for the epoxy around the hole)Hole paint markerCorner paint markerSide paint markerCorner Bracket (for holding the box together during glue-up - in lieu of corner clamps)Leg Hole Jig (to avoid measuring and to guide the drill straight in)Epoxy Form Support Corners (to support 2.5"x1" boards used for assembly of epoxy forms)Epoxy Form Brackets (so hold short-ends of epoxy form to the long sides - reduces the need for lot of 4'+ clamps - see photo)Leg Round Router Template (makes it easy to route round ends of the legs)Header Soldering Stand to make it easy to solder headers to the (upside-down) PCBA fairly thorough build guide is available in a public Google Document. It includes parts lists, instructions to flash software onto the chips, etc.
