Light two-seater aircraft
grabcad
This is a full-scale model of a light, two-seater aircraft, one among many similar ones. It's a continuation of the topic on Spitfire-Style. The fundamental question that arises is "why?" This is an exploration and enhancement of the technology behind modeling an airplane in solid CAD using Autodesk Inventor. Choosing Spitfire Style made the task more challenging as the forms were heavy even for a powerful computer. The modeling process was intriguing, filled with experimentation and improvisation. There was absolute freedom and absolute irresponsibility towards the result. It demanded a lot of irrational fanaticism in keeping with the Spitfire Style. Apart from rendering, the 3D model is also available in STEP format within the archive. While there's no animation, all moving parts of the model have necessary dependencies and bindings. The model is detailed for an illusion of reality, including "semi-finished products". In the archive, you can find a STEP fuel system AC 168 (AS 168 "AEROSKIF"), which was removed by the GrabCAD administrator from that publication. A continuation is anticipated.......
