Light Switch Extender for Young Kids
thingiverse
This is an adjustable light switch extender perfect for young children to easily access the light switch. They have proven to be incredibly helpful in promoting my three-year-old son's growing independence. I successfully printed this item using PLA, and it has held up exceptionally well under regular use. To ensure the greatest stability, I recommend printing the extender solid rather than with a low infill setting, although prints made at 50% infill have performed adequately so far without significant compromise. A minor design oversight exists in the length of the screw slots; however, it does not affect the operational functionality of the extender. This design was created using Sketchup software, and I have provided the SKP file for modification to meet individual preferences. Two examples printed with glow-in-the-dark filament showcase an excellent display of its remarkable features. As this is my initial entry in 3D model design, please do not hesitate to offer your expert feedback, advice on improving design quality, and recommendations on further developments for future projects.
