Light Switch Cover
thingiverse
This is a switch protector designed to prevent accidental turn-on or turn-off. It replaces the standard light-switch cover and fits most switches. Horizontally mounted on the wall, it ensures "OFF" will remain readable, regardless of orientation. For a vertically-friendly version, comment below for a secondary model design. Two improvements were made to the original model: Firstly, I enlarged the switch access slot for universal compatibility; some sanding was necessary for a smooth fit in my printer setup. Secondly, slight letter spacing adjustments enhanced overall aesthetics. Current images showcase Revision One; I'll upload Revision Three pictures once the printing process is complete. Revision Log: October 28th: Revision Two was uploaded with an additional recessed bottom feature to prevent switch parts from interfering with flush mounting against the wall. It now requires support printing, and I recommend using a brim to mitigate warping risks. November 18th: Revision Three features an increased primary box depth, allowing better surface contact, as well as enlarged ribs for comprehensive switch coverage. Print Settings: * Rafts: Yes * Supports: Yes * Infill: 25% * Notes: Due to the design's propensity for warping, it is recommended to use a heated bed.
