<h3>Light Switch Blocker</h3><p>This light switch blocker is designed to fit over a rocker style light switch in either orientation; it has the word “SMART” printed on the front. The primary use case is for when a light switch is connected to smart light bulbs and therefore should always be turned on; it helps prevent people from accidentally removing their power. There are screw holes on both the top and bottom (to accommodate both orientations) and only the top screw should be used for the blocker; it should be a little loose to allow people to pivot it away and operate the switch if needed.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h3>Key Dimensions</h3><p>The light switch blocker measures 104.53 mm in height by 25.33 mm by width. There is 3.659 mm between where the screw head hits the blocker and the bottom of the blocker, so if your wall plates came with extremely short screws as some of mine did you might need longer ones. The screw head channel measures 6.75 mm in diameter and the thread channel measures 4.00 mm in diameter; these are designed for 6-32 wall plate screws (see the next section). The two screw holes are 95.78 mm apart, although as a reminder this is designed with the expectation that only the top screw is inserted to allow for pivot.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h3><strong>Non-Print Materials Required</strong></h3><p>The screw holes fit 6-32 wall plate screws such as <a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08T64GL5J">https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08T64GL5J</a>. I had good results with the ¾ in long screws from the above link, and they matched the color of the original screws.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h3>Printing Advice</h3><p>I used the 0.15 mm Quality PrusaSlicer preset to print this. I recommend the 0.15 mm layer height to help the slopes and curves be expressed, and I suggest slower settings like the Quality preset because the first layer has fine details with the letters.</p>
