Light switch

Designing a functional light switch using Rhino 5 requires careful consideration of several factors, including ergonomics and aesthetics. To begin, create a new document in Rhino 5 and set the units to inches. Next, draw a rectangle with dimensions 2.5 x 1.75 inches, which will serve as the base of the switch. Add a circle to the center of the rectangle using the curve tool, making sure it is tangent to the edges of the rectangle. This circle will represent the mechanical component of the switch. Use the extrude command to give the circle some depth, creating a cylindrical shape that will house the electrical contacts. Cut out a section of the cylinder to create a cavity for the contacts. This can be done by using the sweep tool to draw a curve around the edge of the cylinder and then subtracting it from the original shape. Add a small hole to the top of the switch for the light bulb holder. Use the loft command to create a smooth, curved surface that connects the base of the switch to the cylindrical body. This will give the switch a sleek, modern appearance. Finally, add some text to the switch using the text tool, labeling it as a "Light Switch."
