Light sensor holder
prusaprinters

My pinewood derby finish gate has lasers in the track, shining up at light sensors in the finish gate's "scoreboard". To hold those light sensors in position directly above the drilled hole, and allow easy positioning, I use this model.

This is the light sensor I'm using:
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07MYY1ZZH

Note: Through experimentation, I've found that although this sensor claims to output a 5V signal, the amperage is so weak that you won't be able to drop the voltage to the 3.3V logic used by a Pi Pico. That being said, the Pi Pico is fully capable of receiving the full 5V signal from this light sensor without burning out.
