The amazing thing about 3D printing technology is that it lets you make copies of rare, unusual and educational things that you might never get to see otherwise. Take this one for example. This is an early Archaic projectile point lithic called the Little Bear Creek point, which dates back around 4,500 to 3,000 years BP (2,500BC to 1,000BC). This particular light-colored arrowhead belongs to the ancestral proto-indians of the Choctaw tribe and was discovered near the Tennessee River in Western Tennessee. The items are currently on display at the Department of Anthropology, Indiana University South Bend. Scanned with a NextEngine scanner. If you want to use this image for any reason other than personal use or have questions about it, contact Darryl Ricketts ([email protected]). Remember that it is highly against the law to dig up or take Native American archaeological resources from State, local, or private lands across the United States; please don't do it! Help protect these historical artifacts. If you find any such remains or items or have questions about Federal laws, contact a local expert archeologist. If you print this out, be sure to share a photo of it and check out my other scans of skulls and bones at http://www.thingiverse.com/dricketts/designs.
