Light Panel with action camera mounts
myminifactory
I was on the hunt for some portable lights that could shine bright, withstand rough handling and be super easy to set up anywhere without taking up too much space. I finally settled on creating a light panel that connects seamlessly with standard mounting hardware used by my GoPro cameras - it's now widely adopted across multiple brands, is ultra-affordable, incredibly strong and offers an array of mounting options for any surface imaginable. The panel measures 215mm x 155mm and stands at just 10mm thick. When stacked on top of each other, the panels fit neatly in place thanks to recessed areas for screw attachment that secure the diffuser in place at the bottom of each panel. With a total of 150 LED's, this baby consumes only around 2 Amps of current when running at 12 volts. You'll want to take note: this panel can get pretty hot during operation, so I strongly advise against using PLA for printing as it may soften and warp under heat stress. My own panels are printed with ASA and PETG materials, which have proven to be highly durable even after extensive use without any signs of softening. To assemble your light panel, you'll need: * 4 x 10mm self-tapping screws (or similar) for attaching the diffuser * Your preferred LED strip (I'm itching to see an addressable RGB LED option) * Wire, connectors and solder * A reliable 12v DC power source capable of supplying 2 Amps (your requirements might vary depending on your chosen LEDs) For added customization options, I've included a version without mounting hardware as well as STEP files for all parts involved in the panel's design.
With this file you will be able to print Light Panel with action camera mounts with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Light Panel with action camera mounts.
