Light Painter
thingiverse
To create stunning long exposure images with a digital LED light strip, follow this project that draws inspiration from TheMechatronicsGuy. Gather the essential items such as a Teensy microcontroller, Xbee with adapter kit, 4-pin JST SM plug, a one-meter digital LED strip, an IN4001 diode, 4 AA batteries, a 4 AA battery holder, a 9V battery snap connector, and hookup wire. For printed parts, you'll need the Light Bar Electronics End and Light Bar Battery End. Additionally, four florescent light tube protectors are required. The Teensy code is available at pjrc.com/teensy/uart.html, while the original image parsing and transmitting code can be found at the site of TheMechatronicsGuy. Assembly instructions can be found at ladyada.net/make/ledbelt/ and sites.google.com/site/mechatronicsguy/lightscythe. Modified code will be available soon.
