I had Shapeways make this replacement part in metal and another in fibre reinforced nylon (which I think will be strong enough). However I originally printed it in ABS to test fit it. Can't source the original part and getting Shapeways to make it was a viable alternative and much cheaper (about $65 US + Postage) than either repair - which no one wanted to do locally or to machine from scratch which would have been more than 2x that. The ABS fitted correctly but because of the layers and the rolled pin which expands it sheared after a short time - but I didn't expect it to last however if you can print nylon or fibre reinforced nylon or carbon fiber it would probably work great.
