Lightbulbs are an ideal canvas for creative upcycling projects, capable of being repurposed as terrariums, vases or pencil holders. A simple DIY stand provides a sturdy base to showcase any upcycled creation with clean lines and precision. My personal project features a standard light fixture paired with native flora and fauna. I started by adding a layer of gravel for drainage, followed by activated carbon, and finally soil. Next, I carefully placed found moss, isopods and springtails within the bulb, complemented by natural decorations gathered from my surroundings. This easy 1-hour project is perfect for family bonding activities with kids and adds a touch of greenery to any windowsill display.
