Light Box for presenting small prints
thingiverse
I was searching for a creative way to showcase small models from my Eleggo Mars collection, so I designed this custom box. To achieve the desired effect, I equipped it with 3 bright LED lights (5 mm each), strategically placing two on either side and one directly below. This arrangement creates an eye-catching display that highlights the top objects. The pin where the LED is mounted has a corresponding hole of 7 mm in diameter, allowing the top objects to be placed securely from above. For the power supply, I opted for a pre-made battery box from OBI, similar to this one: https://www.obi.de/innen-lichterketten/led-lichterkette-10-leds-bunt-batteriebetrieben/p/6442248. This convenient solution includes an on/off function and is available with a timer option, making it the perfect choice for a hassle-free power source. I chose to separate the LED lights for potential future projects, giving me the flexibility to repurpose them as needed. For the model showcased on top, I used this design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3657111.
