I made light bars for my RC car which once was a Vaterra Twin Hammers. I designed and built two custom light bars, one for the front and one for the back of the vehicle. The front bar is secured to the frame using screws, while the rear bar features pre-drilled holes for easy attachment with cable ties. The light bars are engineered to accommodate five NeoPixel boards in each - five on the front and five on the back. These small, versatile boards can be sourced from reputable suppliers like Adafruit or international manufacturers in China. With a microcontroller in place, you can unleash an array of impressive visual effects that will elevate your RC car's appearance and performance. For inspiration, check out this YouTube video showcasing stunning lighting effects: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXDzU4ZtGwY **Required Parts:** To build these light bars, you'll need the following essential components: * Front Bar * Lens (required 10 times) - a transparent lens is crucial for achieving a watertight seal; however, it's not strictly necessary as the design still functions without one. **Notes:** A FreeCAD file is included to help with your DIY project.
