Light balloon / construction site lighting - 1:14
thingiverse
For the RC model building site, I have constructed a light balloon. The whole thing was printed in PETG to withstand the weather. In my experience, 3D prints are not waterproof, so if outdoor use is intended, it's best to treat the lamp with epoxy. The holder for the 5 mm LEDs and the bottom lampshade is printed in “translucent” PETG. This becomes milky rather than clear when printed. The lamp is designed for a 4 mm brass tube. Two JST RCY sockets are installed in the base. Lead balls can be filled in the base for better stability. I also glued JST RCY beeches into the distributor. The sockets in the base of the lamp are wired straight through, and then the current for the lamp is tapped at it. This has the advantage that you can plug the lamps one after the other and do not need a separate cable from each lamp to the power distributor. You can glue two JR servo sockets into the power distributor. I use two LiFePo receiver batteries for the lamps, which I connect to a 4S battery.
