Lift Platform 3D Printed

I designed a lightweight, adjustable height platform for my indoor grow lights that easily lowers and raises seedlings as they grow. For added stability, I could have installed internal supports, such as All-Thread across center pivots and lower wheels, but that would take up valuable space; instead, the occasional lowering or raising meets my needs. The platform is designed with a dedicated area for storage, including planters and water bottles. I shopped at Lowe's hardware store to source affordable materials: 1/4" Bolts, No.6 screws, galvanized metal conduit (18mm O.D.), and inexpensive All-Thread (5/16"-18TPI) used as a lead-screw. For platforms I selected durable, dirt and water resistant UHMW cutting boards from Sam's Club measuring 15 x 20 inches. Using advanced CAD technology, I designed hole drill guides, which provided pinpoint accuracy in locating and drilling mounting holes for conduit and cutting boards. Additionally, I developed an enhanced Solidworks Assembly model featuring Extra Supports that mitigate unwanted side-to-side sway on the Lift, effectively streamlining its operation.
