Lift-away hinge
thingiverse
I needed some hinges for the enclosure of my printer's door, but I also wanted to be able to remove the door without unscrewing the hinges. So, I designed these lift-away style hinges using ABS filament as the hinge pin, or you could use a nail or toothpick if you preferred. If your chosen pin is too large for the hinge, you can enlarge it with a drill bit. The STL file provides hinges mounted on the right side of the door when viewed from that perspective. To mount them on the left, simply flip (X or Y but not both) the STL in your slicer. A back piece for the hinge is included, just in case your screws are too long and poke through the plexiglass, like they did with mine.
