To Mount a Lifeproof Phone Mount on a RAM Ball Mount, an Adapter is Required. The Lifeproof phone mount features a suction cup design with a 22mm ball attached to the end of an adjustable arm. To attach this mount to a RAM ball mount, you'll need an adapter that can fit onto both mounts' balls securely. The actual adapter designed for this purpose has a 22mm ball that corresponds exactly to the Lifeproof mount's ball. On the other side of the adapter, a 24mm (1 inch) ball is attached, which will match perfectly with the RAM mount's ball.
