Here's a suggested Lifecam Vx 3000 Mount designed specifically for the Prusa I3 3D Printer. The assembly requires no complex modifications to the original camera or 3d printer parts and can be put together within about 1 hour. Below you'll find all of the parts, steps and tools necessary for completion. If any modifications need to be made then those will also be described. **Tools needed:** * A 4-6 watt multi-bit driver * M3 Tap set * 1 meter m5 screw x pack (30 in total) * The camera housing * Aluminum rods * Prusa I3 Main Frame Step one involves first detaching the Prusa main frame. This includes both X, Y axis bars which are removed using a single Allen wrench (or multi bit driver). Care must be taken so as to not scratch or mark either of these metal components. Next the Y motor and rod needs to be completely removed and also set aside safely. Step two is putting in place an initial aluminum 1 meter long rod that was cut in half for this mount. Both pieces of the cut rod need to sit evenly within one slot, with one part firmly seated on both main frame pillars at an identical height, while its fellow goes into each separate bar located beneath X-axis and is then attached to it through m5 screws and rods (30 in total). A pair 10 degree angle mounts, attached via a small m3 screw head should now go across Y-bar (both upper or top bars) where these 1-meter pieces lie resting so you might see some play in place of which both pieces just barely pass below the main frame at both locations; do this once again. Finally you can set it all up.
