Lifeboats of the RMS Titanic
myminifactory
I have been working on a detailed digital representation of the RMS Titanic's 3D model for visual purposes only at this point, but I decided to test print one of its main lifeboats to see how it turns out in miniature form. This lifeboat model has undergone some tweaks to ensure it prints well at a scale of 1:100, as the thinner parts needed to be beefed up slightly. The rudder is designed as a separate component since it was stored onboard during the Titanic's voyage. Best regards, Stian Printing Settings: - No raft - No support - 0.1mm layer thickness - Using 1.75mm filament that fits snugly through the peg holes The two halves of the lifeboat model were carefully glued together to create a solid, cohesive unit.
