Rescue boat for the US Life Saving Service, a forerunner of the US Coast Guard. Self-righting, self-bailing. Hull skin is dual-diagonal planked mahogany. Most of the 46 boats were built by Elco, the famous builder of PT boats. STEP file includes surfaces and solids, no it's not ready to 3D print. It is drawn full scale. Many details are approximate place holders and may be improved in the future. Wood joinery is not always shown (dovetails, mortise joints, etc.). This 3D model is intended to interpret and augment the historic 2D drawings.
