Life-Sized Meowth
cults3d
Here's a life-sized Meowth I made. According to Bulbapedia, they're around 400 mm tall. I printed this one using PLA with PVA for supports. Each part fits snugly into the body or head, and that's exactly how it should be. However, if you try rescaling things, there's no guarantee that all parts will fit together seamlessly. To attach everything securely, I used super glue to hold the parts in place. To smooth out any bumps or cracks, use Bondo or a similar filler product to cover them up completely. It's time for some serious sanding and priming! Fill those flat spots with more filler and repeat the process over and over again until you're satisfied with how it looks. For the base color, I went with Krylon Satin Meringue - it matches his yellow fur perfectly. But to add some extra details, I used acrylic paint in various shades of brown and black. I'm not exactly a master painter, but I think he turned out pretty cool! Finally, don't forget to give him a shiny koban (coin) using metallic gold spray paint! Just be careful - those "antique gold" paints might not have the same effect you're looking for.
