The Upgrade to the Original Life-Line Wristband: Introducing the Life-Line S Watch The S Watch boasts a sleek touch screen face with a built-in fingerprint sensor, a camera with speakers, a heart rate monitor, and an electrostatic polymer strap wrapped in a lightweight titanium mesh. The core concept behind the S Watch is that it initially functions as a smart watch until the wearer's heart rate accelerates or develops an irregular pattern. At that point, depending on the heart rate, the watch can either dial the police or paramedics. It achieves this by displaying a call prompt on the screen, which the wearer activates by scanning their fingerprint. Following the scan, there are two potential courses of action. First: If the S Watch detects an increase in heart rate or irregular beat due to medical reasons, it continues to monitor the wearer's vitals and uploads them real-time to paramedics responding to the call. This ensures they're better prepared when they arrive at the wearer's location. The built-in speakers also enable direct communication with rescue teams, allowing them to provide instructions on how to help or even assist the wearer themselves. Second: If the S Watch detects an increase in heart rate due to fear or panic, it prompts for the police department, and upon scanning, enters lock-down mode. The first step of lock-down mode is for the camera to turn on and speakers to announce that the police have been dialed and are en route to the wearer's location, along with cameras recording the situation. This deters potential attackers or provides an instant picture of the assailant if they don't comply. Regardless, the camera footage will be live-streamed to responding officers, who can communicate through the speakers. The second step of lock-down mode is for the S Watch to send a charge through the electrostatic polymer wrist strap, causing it to shrink and harden around the wearer's wrist, making it impossible to remove the watch. This feature allows police to track the user via GPS signal from the S Watch, even in situations where the wearer is kidnapped. From a design perspective, the Life-Line S Watch charges via its 5-pin magnetic connector at the bottom, can be customized with various colors as the base titanium case is anodized, and functions as a normal touch screen smart watch in everyday use.
