Supports were used because wheel cores were printed with female plug end facing printer bed. This is a pretty standard print but I definitely recommend using PLA Plus or Carbon Fiber PLA for durability! There are a few steps I recommend taking to get the smoothest action and the easiest fit during assembly... I have included an instructional youtube video for your reference.
