LIDL Playtive Glider Motor Nacelle/Mount For Twin Motor Setup

I made this motor nacelle for the famous Lidl Glider to make it easier to change motors. Most nacelles I found make nearly impossible to change the motor after gluing to the wing. Now you can easily screw the motor plate of and change the motor.There are three different sizes and screw patterns available to support a wide range of common motors like 22xx, 18xx, 15xx and 14xx. For my pics I used an old 2204 Lumenier motor on the big nacelle with a 16x19 screw pattern. 16x16, 12x12 and 9x9 patterns are available too.For the big one you need some M3 screws, for the medium and small ones M2 screws work. The holes in the cross section on the motor plate are slightly smaller so the screws cut a bit into the material. There are four holes to attach the motor plate but from my testing two screws are sufficient to hold everything in place.I printed this in PLA+ for testing but I'd recommend to print at least the motor plate with something more heat resistant like PETG.Yes, this is not the lightest mount on earth but I tried to bring it down as much as possible:small mount with thin plate ~5gsmall mount with thick plate ~6gmedium mount ~10gbig mount ~12gPrint settings: 20% infill, 2 perimeters, top/bottom 3 layers, support on. Update 2023/12/31Made some adjustments to the nacelles to make them a better fitMade the small motor plates thinner and front of the small nacelle too.
