A Simple Pylon for the LIDL Glider Setup: Enhancing Performance and Versatility I built a lightweight pylon that allows me to fine-tune the motor angle on my LIDL glider, making it easy to switch between motor-glider and pure glider modes. This versatile setup is designed to optimize performance. My motor of choice is the HK 1811-2000 Kv unit. For efficient propulsion, I pair it with a GXS 5030 propeller. Depending on my mood, I can power this combo with either a high-energy 700mAh 2S Lipo battery or a more aggressive 450mAh 3S one. The pylon itself is crafted from a sturdy carbon rod, measuring 4mm in diameter for added strength and stability.
