The bronze statue was crafted by master sculptor Theobald Stein between 1821 and 1901. In 1899, Stein created the original model for Liden Gunver (Little Gunver), which he later cast in bronze and tested in his garden as early as 1909. By 1911, the sculpture had found a permanent home there. Liden Gunver is a character from Johannes Ewald's and Johann Hartmann's play Fiskerne (The Fishermen), first performed at The Royal Theater in Copenhagen back in 1780. This remarkable object is part of "Scan The World", a groundbreaking initiative launched by MyMiniFactory to create a free digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from all over the globe.
