The lidded ritual ewer in the form of an elephant with masks and dragons is a remarkable piece of bronze metalwork. Its dimensions are H x W x D (overall): 6 3/4 x 4 3/16 x 8 7/16 inches, measuring 17.2 x 10.7 x 21.4 cm. This type of vessel originated in the Middle Yangzi Valley of China and dates back to around the first half of the 11th century BCE.
