Lid Spacer with Spool Holder for Flashforge Inventor 3D Printer (Remix)

This is a lid spacer with external spool holders designed to interface seamlessly with the Flashforge Inventor 3D printer. It may also be compatible with other printers, such as the Flashforge Dreamer and the Dremel Idea Builder. To complete this project, you will need approximately 1.2 kg of ABS filament (more than one spool), a 5/8 inch round wood dowel, a piece of PFTE filament tube (3mm inner diameter, 4 mm outer diameter), and your choice of the following fastening options: - Thirty metric M3 x 0.5 x 12 mm socket head cap screws (or similar fasteners in close proximity) with matched nuts; - Acetone for printing in ABS or chemically compatible glue; - Ten binder clips of appropriate size. The lid spacer, once assembled, can rest on the top of the 3D printer and allow for a raised 3D printer lid by 10 cm. It is not designed to be glued to the 3D printer. The spool holders support different spool sizes and enable individual spool replacement. The lid spacer also features a recycling triangle with resin identification code 7 (other) and the letters ABS to facilitate eventual recycling of each part (if printed using ABS). Updated on March 29, 2020, to add a spool center that goes around the wood dowel for use with larger spool diameters (50-58 mm).
