I wanted quick access to Bhalu, my beloved mouse. Rather than disassembling his enclosure daily for playtime, I created a convenient lid. The removable lid allows me effortless entry into Bhalu's domain. For this DIY project, I utilized 2.17-inch tubes (specifically these ones: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TRVG6YN/, and velcro from https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0825RGLQ3/). To achieve optimal results, I recommend using a longer piece of velcro - roughly 11.81 inches in length. Alternatively, you can join two smaller strips together to create the desired length. Additionally, I applied silicone to the contact areas to minimize noise when closing the lid. This ensures Bhalu's peaceful slumber is not disrupted by the enclosure's clinking sounds upon closure.
