License Plate Bracket for Backup Camera or Traffic Camera
thingiverse
I just picked up a brand-new truck and I'm eager to outfit it with front and rear traffic cameras due to the alarmingly high accident rate in my neighborhood. I know there must be numerous designs available on Thingiverse, but I wanted to challenge myself creatively instead of simply copying someone else's work. This is my innovative solution, although I suspect there might be other designs that bear some resemblance. This is the second iteration of my design, and it's a vast improvement over the first attempt, which was far too small because I had to wing it without accurately measuring the dimensions. This updated bracket fits standard U.S. license plates perfectly and features two mounting holes for securing a small square camera in place. Two slots are also included for M3 nuts that keep the camera firmly attached to the bracket. The camera mounting holes are 32mm apart, while the license plate mounting holes are spaced 177mm apart.
