This 3D model was originally built using Sketchup 8 before being converted into multiple formats for better compatibility. Native format is .skp, while 3dsmax scenes are optimized in 3ds Max 2016 with Vray 3.00. Manufacturing, library bodyguards, and other materials used include wood, metal, and railings. Textures can be found inside the original .skp file for easy access. Extracting textures from .skp files is a breeze if you have these compatible software programs: Sketchup (Completely free to use) To extract textures, go to File > Export > 2D Graphic. Then select your preferred 2D file type under the drop-down option. Another way: File -> Export -> 3D Model and export it as a COLLADA file with the *.dae extension selected. Make sure to click on Options and tick Export Texture Maps for this feature. Open up the exported folder, where you should see another subfolder containing all of the extracted textures. C4D (The free trial version is more than sufficient) When importing the .skp file into C4D, it automatically creates a separate folder for textures alongside the original .skp file. 3ds Max Once imported to 3ds Max, store your texture files in the .3dsmaxsceneassetsimages directory. You can also export FBX with embed media checked on in the export dialogue box and find the textures there too! Rhino 3D (This includes free trial version options) Import the .skp file into Rhino 3D, navigate to the material editor under Panels, pick any materials featuring textures and hit the three dots next to them. In this section, click on any button labeled with "Texture." You should now see all your embedded textures in the ..AppDataLocalTempembedded_files folder for easy copying. Remember to paste those copied files into your preferred location – free space is just what you need!
