sketchfab
This is an ongoing project to research and document the Liberty Road Markers. Created between 1946 and 1947, these markers commemorate Patton's 3rd Army advance through France from Normandy to Bastogne, Belgium. Many of these road markers have been donated to the US since 1949 as part of the Merci Train program. A particularly iconic pair can be found at the entrance to Patton Park in South Hamilton, Massachusetts, USA, which marks the Le Havre and Arromanches sites.
