Li-Ion Battery Pack for JVC and Panasonic Camcorders

**I designed this 18650 Li-Ion battery pack for vintage Panasonic and JVC camcorders** This Pack Is a Compatible Replacement for JVC BN-V10U - BN-25U and Panasonic PV-BP15 / PV-BP17. There are two versions of the top half of this pack. One has the batteries facing in the same direction. which is more difficult to wire up, but looks more aesthetically pleasing. The other has the batteries facing in opposite directions. Other than that the two are identical in function. **Note: this pack runs at a slightly higher voltage than the original 6v Ni-Cd pack. My camcorder seems to handle 7.4v just fine but I have not tested for other makes and models. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.** **Precaution: Only use PROTECTED 18650 cells. I designed this pack with no built in overcurrent / under-volt protection.** **Things you will need:** - A soldering iron - 20-24 AWG wire. - a small 2-pin JST connector. (or similar) - A donor Ni-Cd OEM pack for the contact pads. - 18650 Spring Contact Terminals. You can find them on amazon sold by uxcell. - 2 m3 x 6.5 Embedment nuts - A 2s Li-Ion Battery Meter, This one is optional but the level indicator in the camcorder will not read correctly as this pack is a slightly higher voltage. This can be found on amazon. - 2 m3 x 6mm bolts, found at virtually any hardware store or amazon. - 1/4 or 3/8" weather stripping / foam tape, found at amazon or any hardware store. - at least 2 protected 18650 cells. Amazon has them but you can find wholesalers that sell better ones for less money.
