Keep the electric contacts of your camera or mobile phone Li-ion battery protected against short circuits while not inserted into the device. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update 1 November 2020: Added labeling. Added curved slot ends to relieve mechanical stress on latch. A 60 degree rounding angle may be enough, but you have the option to increase the angle for ornamentation. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Easily adaptable to any battery size via parameters in the included OpenSCAD source file. I include a tested .stl file for Nikon EN-EL14, Samsung S5 and Samsung Note 4 batteries. Insert the battery contacts-first. A latch locks the battery in place. To extract lift the latch and let the battery slip out. A window on the opposite side helps to push the battery out in case the container is a tight fit. If this window is exposing the contacts of your battery then insert the battery inverted.
