I design a backup power system for my 3D printer using a 3s5p lithium-ion battery pack from scratch. The pack is protected by a 25A BMS board, connected directly to the 12V power supply of my 3D printer after adjusting the voltage to 12.6V. This ensures a stable power source. I sourced used 18650 batteries with a 5A rating each at an affordable price. The system has saved me money since I live in a house with a small circuit breaker that frequently trips, causing power outages.
