LGV60 Dual Screen Dock with Mag
thingiverse
I wanted something to slip my LG V60 with the Dual Screen in and automatically connect to my android auto deck in my car. This works great for me on my 08 Subaru Impreza, but I made it so that you can place it in other vehicles or locations. This is a work in progress and if I update it, I shall include updates (obviously lol) I used eSun PLA+ for now until I make an enclosure for ASA prints, which I recommend for long term life in vehicles or the outdoors. This is in 3 parts 1st is the main body which hold the phone 2nd is the bottom piece which inserts into the main body and houses the magnetic usb c adapter 3rd is the clip The reason for the 3 pieces is so you can add insulation to prevent scratches to your phone (last one made by LG!) and to cushion the bottom of the phone and the clip so it can be glued anywhere of your choosing. And yes, all parts are glued. I recommend Loctite Super Glue (blue bottle). Any cyanoacrylate should be fine, but I find this particular one to make PLA pieces forever into one without any issues. For insulation, I used toolbox drawer liner from Harbor Freight. ONLY LINE THE BOTTOM PIECE FACING THE PHONE AND 3 SIDES IN THE BODY!!! Using it on all 4 sides results in the phone being too tight in the dock. Any insulation of your choosing can be used, so long that its 1.5MM thick or thinner. Please, remix this to your hearts content and I hope to improve this later on with a more modular one for other phones. I shall include some pictures of it in my car once the sun is up.
