LGB Hall Effect Sensor Mount and Sound Cam. This Hall Effect Sensor Mount is engineered to securely hold a KY-003 board commonly found on eBay and other sources. The KY-003 board easily slides into the mount with a medium press fit, securing it in place. The Hall Effect Sensor Mount/KY-003 board assembly then smoothly fits into the Clock Sensor slot in the locomotive's frame. Please verify that your loco frame has this slot to ensure compatibility. The pins on the KY-003 board need to be bent 90 degrees forward to clear the lid of the motor block, ensuring proper alignment. The Sound Cam is comprised of two halves that clamp over the driver axle, eliminating the need to remove the drivers from the axles. Final fitting of I.D. will be required for a snug fit on the axle. The Sound Cam features four pockets so you can insert 1-4 magnets depending on your application. ESU DCC Decoders require 4 magnets. The Sound Cam needs to be rotated so that one magnet is aligned with the driver crank, ensuring optimal performance. You will need two (2) M2 x 10 screws to mount the Sound Cam on the axle. You will also need 3mm round x 2mm deep magnets that can be found on eBay. A universal fit 3-conductor servo cable works well for the KY-003 connection, making installation easy and efficient. I have successfully installed this setup on several of my locomotives and it has worked without any problems so far.
