LG Monitor Stand 29" 29UM68-P
thingiverse
I lost a crucial part of my monitor stand during my move. To fix it, I designed a replacement part. It's slightly taller than the original, and that was necessary due to time constraints. Not everyone will see the back of their monitors anyway. The hole at the bottom is designed for a threaded insert (M4 10mm). This will secure the screw from the foot. To assemble it, remove the small black screw on the bottom of the display mount. This allows the stand to slide smoothly over the mount. Printing this part requires a few considerations. Use a nozzle size of 0.4mm and 5 lines for a strong structure. Walls should be 2mm thick. You can open the 3mf file to see my settings. Infill isn't critical, so I used 10%. This was printed with PLA. When printing this part, it's essential to print it lying down on the flat side. Printing it upright will create forces parallel to the layer lines, making the stand much weaker. By printing it horizontally, these forces are perpendicular, resulting in a stronger structure. If your printer handles overhangs well, you won't need supports for this orientation.
