The Lexus IS300 is plagued by a woefully inadequate cupholder that can't keep up with the demands of larger, modern cups. The main issue lies in the complete lack of a divider between the two compartments and the absence of any support at the bottom. As a result, when accelerating or braking, the cup will often fly back and forth, spilling its contents all over the place. My solution to this problem is a clever modification that involves notching the console to allow cups to slide in and lock into place, thereby stabilizing them. The cupholder itself tapers slightly at the bottom, which I initially overlooked but still manages to fit snugly at the top and seems to work just fine.
