Lexus 2 IS Phone Holder 17mm Ball

I wanted a phone holder that would work with a 17mm QI charger in a location that was rigid and easy to see, but was not 'permanent'. I don't like stick on mounts, vent mounts, suction cup mounts, and the pro-clip mount for these cars goes into the passenger seat too much. Anyway, I wanted to use the ashtray since that is an easily replaceable part and is removable. If I go to a carshow I just pop the ash tray out and close the access door. Also there is a USB charger right next to the ash tray. There is a little button / lever on the passenger side of the ash tray that releases it and it pops up. The metal insert can be removed with some light prying with a screw driver. When drilling the holes in to the ashtray , you must use the feature in the middle/back of the ash tray or the screw head will interfere when installing it back into the console. The bottom screw is self explanatory. The top screw you first drill the hole the side of the capscrew, but on the outer layer of the ash tray you drill a bigger hole so that the screw head can sit recessed. I used T-nuts to thread the screws into the 3d printed mount to receive the screws. I used a thin piece of foam to take up any extra tolerance in the ash tray to keep the phone as steady as possible. I did end up having to use lock washers to keep the screws from working loose.
